State vs. Action: Decoding Emotions & Choosing Your Tribe

Season #3 Episode #7

On today's Pure Awareness, I'm diving deep into understanding ourselves by distinguishing between our internal states of being and our external behaviors. It's been a revelation for me to realize that being angry, for example, is different from how I act when I'm angry. I'm also learning to allow emotions to simply be, like passing clouds, rather than feeling the need to immediately fix them. This connects to the power of Pure Awareness – observing without judgment. A core part of this journey is affirming my worthiness daily and consciously choosing the people and environments I surround myself with. As my guest, Auntie Marty, wisely asks, "Are they my people?" This "airplane mask" philosophy reminds me to prioritize my well-being so I can show up authentically in my "team" of relationships, understanding we all play different roles. Asking for help is also a focus, recognizing the vulnerability and clarity it requires. Tools like "Mr. Moody" are helping me colorize my emotions for better understanding and communication. Ultimately, it's about actively studying myself, my patterns, and choosing to live authentically within a supportive tribe.
